Health clinics range from a flu vaccination clinic to prevention and screening for conditions like diabetes, asthma and skin health.

VACCINATIONS (FLU VACCINATIONS)

Every year people contract influenza and this not only affects patients, but their families and workplaces too. Unlike the common cold, some strains of influenza can be vaccinated against. However because the virus changes from year to year an annual injection is vital in maintaining the fight against the flu! In-store flu vaccinations are quick, convenient and no prescription is required!

SKIN AWARENESS

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancers in the world and skin cancer accounts for 80% of newly diagnosed cancers. Early detection of skin cancers provides the best outcomes and we at Kenmore Day and Night believe this to be a priority screening area. That’s why we have annual skin awareness clinics where you can discuss your concerns with a qualified nurse. During the clinic, a photo is taken of your face to highlight any skin damage that has occurred already. Additional information to improve and reduce further skin damage is provided to help minimise your risk of skin cancers.

BOWEL SCREENING

Bowel cancer in Australia is the second most common cancer, however prognosis is generally good if detected early. For 2015-2020 the government is slowing phasing in the National Bowel Screening Program for people aged 50-74. The evidence from the National Health and Medical Resarch Council still suggests the importance of screening every 2 years. Our pharmacy sells Bowel Screen Australia kits for a once off fee which includes the test kit as well as the pathology screening fee. These results can then be forwarded onto your local family doctor.
